July 2025 – August 2025

Completed a thorough evaluation of a high-profile acquisition, assessing profitability, cash generation, and performance drivers using key metrics, including EBITDA margins, ROI, and KPIs. Engaged closely with the legal dimension of transactions by reviewing term sheets and deal documentation, gaining investor-side insight into how external counsel supports sovereign clients.

Summer Vacation Scheme
June 2025 – July 2025

Completed a two-week placement in the Debt Capital Markets team focusing on bond and sukuk issuances, working alongside leading UAE sukuk practitioners. Supported the team advising on Benin’s debut sovereign sukuk issuance, gaining exposure to cross-border Islamic finance structuring and high-stakes transaction execution. Undertook additional tasks across disputes, projects and real estate, and delivered a group client panel renewal presentation for DP World.

Spring Vacation Scheme

Secured a place on Latham & Watkins’ highly competitive London vacation scheme (60 selected from 3,000+ applicants). Completed seats in Employment and Structured Finance, drafting legal memoranda on TUPE and restrictive covenants, and contributing to securitisation transactions through prospectus drafting and covenant research.

Law Clerk
August 2024 – September 2024

Completed a work experience program in the Corporate Department at Latham & Watkins’ Dubai office, where I was directly involved in various venture capital and acquisition matters. My work included participating in a Seed Funding transaction, a Series A transaction, and a Series C transaction. I contributed to drafting essential legal documents, including due diligence reports, disclosure letters, Articles of Association, and Shareholders Agreements.

Summer Vacation Scheme
August 2024

My first seat during Dentons' Summer Vacation Scheme was in the firm’s Banking department, followed by a second seat in the Corporate Department. In banking, I was mostly involved in Project Finance. I reviewed various legal documents and worked closely on a matter in its closing stages. During my second seat, I drafted essential corporate documents such as board resolutions and powers of attorney authorising share transfers.

Completed a three-week internship at Al Tamimi Law Firm working in the Dispute Resolution department. My work consisted of supporting lawyers in several corporate lawsuits with legal document preparation, translations, and research. Consistently liaised with relevant public authorities and DIFC Courts. Attended court hearings and mediation meetings between our Clients and Claimant(s).
